Nice Day at Last

niceday_a.jpg

We finally had a mostly spring-like day here in the city. I went to Central Park and walked around for a couple of hours and just enjoyed sunlight and trees and the gathering of people. Sheeps Meadow was packed... It almost looked like the beach on a summer day, when there are so many people you can hardly see the sand.

I Am My Own Wife

wife.jpg

I just saw I Am My Own Wife tonight at the Lyceum Theatre. It's a wonderful one man show with a truly remarkable performance by Jefferson Mays. It's based on the life of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a German transvestite with a passion for collecting antique furniture and Victrolas. It's difficult to really sum up the play here... I'd recommend checking out the website, and definitely checking out this show while you have the chance.

Match

Upon the recomendation of my acting teacher, I went tonight to see Match with my friend Dav (who's visiting from San Francisco) and his friend Dave who lives here in the city. It's a new 3 person play starring Frank Langella, Ray Liotta & Jane Adams. The highlight of the show was Frank Langella.
